2014 NHIAA James W. Desmarais Service Award Recipient Sean Cox ATC

The New Hampshire Interscholastic Athletic Association has named Salem High School athletic trainer Sean Cox ATC a recipient of its 2014 James W. Desmarais Service Award.  The Desmarais Award recognizes individuals who have provided service of a “quality nature” to the  NHIAA either through committee work or other type of service for a minimum period of 15 years.

Sean has been a long standing member of the NHIAA’s Sports Medicine committee.  In addition to his role with the NHIAA Sports Medicine Committee, Sean has served as the coordinator of the Wrestling Body Fat and Weight monitoring system for NHIAA member schools.

Sean is also the winner of the 2009 NHATA Most Distinguished Athletic Trainer Award and a founding member of the NHATA organization.  The NHATA is happy to congratulate Sean on his most recent recognition and thank him for his continued promotion of the field of athletic training through his exemplary work supporting the high school athletes of New Hampshire.
