Scholarships

The NATA District 1 Daniel R. Sedory Scholarship Dan Sedory is a retired Clinical Professor in the Athletic Training and Health Sciences Majors at the University of New Hampshire. Sedory was the Director of the UNH CAATE Accredited Program from 1988 – 2019. Sedory was the recipient of the NATA Athletic Trainer Service Award in 2001, the NH Most Distinguished Athletic Trainer of the Year Award in 2005 and the NATA Most Distinguished Athletic Trainer Award in 2006. Sedory was the Chair of the NH Athletic Trainers Governing Board from 1998 – 2001 and Chair of the NATA Professional Education Committee from 1997 – 2008.

The Dan Sedory New Hampshire District 1 Scholarship has additional eligibility requirements beyond what is required for the NHATA student scholarship.  Please read carefully to determine your eligibility.

Applications and eligibility information are available below.  There is a single application for both the NHATA and District 1 scholarships.  Previous applicants and eligible recipients may apply annually.

NHATA Student Scholarship

To be eligible for the NHATA scholarship, an individual can either be an accepted student in a athletic training program in the state of New Hampshire or a New Hampshire resident accepted into an athletic training program in another state.  Priority is given to students who are also NATA members.

Dan Sedory New Hampshire District 1 Scholarship Eligibility

To be eligible for the Dan Sedory New Hampshire District 1 Scholarship, the candidate must:

  1. Meet the criteria for the NHATA scholarship
  2. Be a District 1 member
  3. Be a NHATA member
  4. Have a student NPI number.
