New London NH: The 2019 New Hampshire Athletic Trainers’ Association Student Symposium was held Sunday April 7th at Colby-Sawyer College. The symposium serves as an opportunity for the athletic training programs of New Hampshire to come together and share scholarly work completed by students.

In addition to student presentation of scholarship, Dr. Brian Frenkiewich DO, provided a keynote address, presenting to the audience an oath for Athletic Training. District 1 President Diane Sartanowicz provided students with an update on regional and national Athletic Training matters.
Taping Competition and Quiz Bowl
The taping competition was won by Colby-Sawyer College team of Aislinn O’Connor and tapers Tanisha Clark and Xena Ras. The quiz bowl was a tightly contested affair with the University of New Hampshire’s eponymously named “The Towne” team of Nick Husted, Josh Lapoint and Zach Marcus earning first place.
Scholarship Winners
Emily Guay of Plymouth State was awarded the Daniel R. Sedory New Hampshire District 1 scholarship. Alexandra Raifsnider and Madeline Zimmerman of the University of New Hampshire were awarded the two NHATA student scholarship awards.
